This carburetor upgrades the Mercury 9.9HP (2006 and Newer) 4-stroke outboard engines to 15hp. Fits both standard and Command Thrust models. No modifications are necessary, simply swap out the carburetor. This will not work on remote console versions of the outboard - only tiller driven models.

No modifications are necessary, simply swap out the carburetor. This will not work on remote console versions of the outboard - only tiller driven models.
For Maximum Top Speed:
For maximum top speed, we recommend this propeller: Mercury High Pitch 8.9x9.5" 4-Stroke Propeller
The stock propeller is generally 7 to 8.5" pitch. Keep in mind that this is only if you desire maximum top speed, and you will sacrifice a little acceleration as the trade off. If acceleration is more important to you, then stick with the stock propeller.
This propeller will not fit Bigfoot, Command Thrust or Kicker models (if you are unsure which you have check your current propeller to see if it's a 12 or 14 tooth spline. If it's a 12 tooth, this 9.5" pitch propeller will fit.)
Ensure That This Is the Correct Carburetor:
If you are unsure of the model year, or if you have a 2006 or 2007 which could be either type, see the picture below. This carburetor will upgrade the 2006 and Newer style outboards. We keep this item in stock in Massachusetts. Orders placed before 3 PM Eastern typically leave the same business day; later orders usually ship the next business day. Our flat rate shipping is USPS Priority which is 2-3 business days to most of the U.S. UPS Next Day and Second Day Air is available during checkout if you need it quicker.
Your carburetor may have an additional hose connection or two (one coming out of the top of the carburetor). Those are breather hose connections that are not necessary for use with this carburetor. The hose can be tucked securely away or removed altogether when you install this carburetor. We include documentation about this with the carburetor.
Shipping Information
Orders placed by 3:00 PM Eastern Time (Monday–Friday) typically ship the same day (excluding holidays). Orders placed after 3:00 PM ET will usually ship the next business day. All items ship from our Massachusetts facility.
Express shipping options such as UPS Next Day Air and 2nd Day Air do not typically deliver on weekends, and weekend days are not counted in transit times. For example, a 2-Day Air order shipped on Friday may arrive the following Tuesday.
Alaska & Hawaii Customers
Free Shipping and Ground Advantage options may ship via ground or sea and can take significantly longer to arrive. For faster delivery, we recommend selecting Priority Mail or UPS express services unless timing is not a concern.
Express Shipping Options
We offer UPS Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air, and 3 Day Select for expedited delivery. Please note that UPS Ground is not considered an express service and, in some cases, USPS shipping options may arrive faster. UPS Ground is primarily offered for locations that cannot receive USPS deliveries.
Warranty
All items include a 6-month warranty covering manufacturer defects that prevent proper operation. This warranty does not cover damage caused after the item has been received and used by the customer.
Extended Warranty
Optional 1-year and 2-year extended warranties are available on many products. If an issue occurs during the extended coverage period, simply contact us—we will provide a replacement along with a prepaid return label. Your warranty can be easily verified using your name, phone number, or address—no paperwork required.
Returns
We offer a 30-day return policy. If your item arrives damaged, please notify the carrier at delivery and contact us right away. If you no longer need the item or ordered the wrong part, you may return it within 30 days. After this period, coverage falls under warranty terms. Full details are available here.
